Repositories facilitating the mining of meta-omics data in the field of environmental biotechnology, to enhance the understanding of complex microbial systems
Processes, such as those related to wastewater treatment or organic waste management, rely on the catalytic action of complex microbial communities, whose level of control is currently lower than that of processes using pure strains.
Objectives
The MEMOS project aims to provide tools for the environmental biotechnology sector and the scientific community to capitalise on meta-omics data by storing FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data, thereby enhancing process optimisation.
Expected results
MEMOS will contribute to overcoming significant barriers in environmental biotechnology by completing the development of highly complementary tools: DeepOmics (meta-omics and process data) and OpenSILEX-LBE (process data, ontologies, online sensor data).
