Knowledge Engineering and Multidimensional Sustainability Analysis to enhance the data, knowledge, and scientific expertise of biorefinery platforms
Context
Targeting R&D engineers in bioeconomy companies, data scientists, as well as students and educators, this collaboration between IATE, LCA, and LGC is grounded in an Open Science approach. The platform will enable interoperability of methods and tools, facilitate the organisation of academic knowledge, structure operational expertise, and provide access to FAIR experimental data, including sustainability analyses encompassing various dimensions, for future biorefineries.
Objectives
This project proposes a methodology and the prototyping of an integrative digital platform for the implementation of sustainable biorefineries.
Expected results
The platform will offer an advanced solution for integrating expertise, experimental data, sustainability indicators (technological performance, LCA and LCC indicators), and available knowledge, alongside capabilities for querying, visualising, and analysing results in the field of biorefinery processes.
