LCPO
Polymers – Catalysis – Biomaterials – Chemical engineering
The Component presentation
Since it was set up in 1985, the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques – LCPO (Organic Polymer Chemistry Laboratory) has been involved in polymer science, studying the mechanisms of polymerisation and macromolecular engineering.
These two areas are at the heart of the LCPO’s activities, enabling it to carry out projects aimed at designing functional polymers with high added value and studying their macroscopic properties for target applications, particularly in the fields of life sciences, energy and technology.
The laboratory’s scientific strategy is based on green and biomimetic synthesis approaches and structure/property relationships.
The LCPO is a research unit of the CNRS, the University of Bordeaux and Bordeaux INP.
