The Carnot 3BCAR researchers’ seminar took place in Reims over three days packed with scientific discussions, collective reflection and opportunities for socialising. This annual event is a key occasion for bringing together all parts of the network and working together to advance collaborative initiatives.

A comprehensive scientific program

The seminar began with a presentation on the key highlights of 2025 and the latest news from the Carnot 3BCAR network, providing an overview of recent progress and future prospects.

There were several highlights during these days:

  • Presentation of ongoing projects, including the initial results of recently funded projects
  • Presentation of the network’s new components, in preparation for the re-certification process
  • Roundtable discussion on the role of soil in the bioeconomy, highlighting key scientific issues
  • Co-creation workshops to generate new projects for the 2026 call for proposals
  • Poster session dedicated to projects funded in 2025

These various formats have made it possible to combine expertise, share progress, and strengthen synergies among teams.

Exploring the local ecosystem

In addition to the scientific sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore the local bioeconomy ecosystem through a tour of the Pomacle-Bazancourt biorefinery, as well as several industrial and scientific sites in the region.

The seminar also included more social activities, such as a tour of downtown Reims and a visit to the cellars of Maison Pommery, highlighting the connection between science, the region, and heritage.

A strengthened collective dynamic

This seminar once again demonstrated the strength of the 3BCAR network and the diversity of its expertise, all dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the bioeconomy.

With an eye toward the upcoming call for certification, the network was also pleased to welcome AlgoSolis, BIA, and FRD-CODEM, who were invited to participate in these discussions and learn about the 3BCAR initiative, with the goal of joining the Carnot network during the future call.
