In a green chemistry approach, LCPO and TBI are developing chemo‑enzymatic routes—employing peroxygenases and lipases coupled with controlled-release systems for hydrogen peroxide—to produce epoxidised derivatives. These platform molecules, which have substantial applicative potential (e.g., plasticisers, polyols, epoxy resins, elastomers…), and their eco‑responsible synthetic pathways, offer significant industrial interest.
Objectives
The aim of this project is to develop new, milder and more eco‑responsible synthetic routes to epoxy derivatives.
Expected results
The technology must enable controlled release of hydrogen peroxide to maintain optimal activity during the reaction. Enzyme families—namely peroxygenases and lipases—will be evaluated and subsequently applied.
